Mamma Mia! Here we go again…

Heh heh heh, guess what I saw the other day…. Man, it was AWESOME!  I love it.  We need to get Lauren along and go see it again.  It’s a chick flick and a musical all in one. What else could I possibly ask for?

Anyway, what started out as a lousy weekend ending up being mostly “fantastick,” for various reasons.  Where do I begin?  I think it was Wednesday night that I couldn’t get any sleep at all, so by Thursday afternoon’s counseling session I was dead on my feet, and extremely cranky.  Things started looking up once I got home and into bed (at a normalish hour, mind you), but then, I put Relient K’s Five Score and Seven Years Ago on repeat, beginning with Deathbed, as per usual.  And I guess I had musicals on the brain, but approximately 10 minutes later, by the time the disc had gotten back around to the second track, I was getting an idea.  An aweful, wonderful idea.  Yes, I was constructing, of all things, a rock opera based around Relient K.  I was seeing characters, and the beginning of a story, and as the tracks continued, they only added more to the whole thing.  It was turning out to be spectacular.  It was beginning to feel like something that I could really do.  About halfway through the disc, I realized I was riffing off both American Beauty and The Royal Tenenbaums, but that’s okay.  I am determined to do this.  I can see scenes and staging, and oh, if it can be done, it would be amazing.  It would.

Anyway, that was Thursday night.  I can’t recall anything of significance happening on Friday.

Then Saturday came along, and that was the day we went to see The Fantasticks at the Hillbarn.  We originally were interested in going because an old teacher of ours was going to be in it, but it turned out to be a very good play indeed.  And it seemed like this weekend was going to be a golden age for musicals.

Sunday we’d reserved for Great America, but since Lauren had to leave early, Karina and I saw Mamma Mia! And it was brilliance on a stick.  There is nothing else to say.  I sincerely hope it receives recognition.

Bored now.

Omg guys, how are youuu?  Now, I never meant for this particular journal to be a haven for my whiny tiemz, but I just have to say that dang, my boobs are really sore right now.  I guess my period’s coming up soon.

I’m currently sneaking in journal time during my Photoshop class, because most of the students have never seen computers before, and need much walking through.  That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much.  Thus, I spend much of my classtime waiting to move ahead.

I meant to have another volume or two of scans out by now, but classes have been keeping me busy.  Just today, we peformed skits in Speech class, and it went very well.  We were a hit. 😀  Tomorrow there’s a field trip for geology, but I’m not sure I want to go.  Long story.

Anyway, what I meant to say was, sooner or later, I want to finish up releasing the volumes my online ebook library has made available to me.  In my queue are the first volumes of Joan, Kazan, and a few others that escape me at the moment.

In other, more personal anime news, I finally started making headway on the 20-some gigs of anime on my harddisc that I have yet to watch.  I finally finished watching Samurai Champloo, and it was great.  Very sweet, and kinda sad at the end.  Episode 23, with the baseball crack, was definitely my favorite, though.
