When was my last post again?

15. His Name is John – Dorien Grey
16. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Nagaru Tanigawa
17. Nightlight: A Parody – The Harvard Lampoon

#15 was a rather disappointing procedural mystery about a guy who sees a ghost named John.  The ending is criminally anticlimactic, and they even say so.  #16 is a reread in preparation for the sequel, which I picked up several months ago and had sitting on the shelf wrapped in its Barnes and Noble shopping bag.  The third book should be coming out soonish, as I recall.  Not sure when.  #17 probably shouldn’t count, as it was a measly 75 pages, but it’s what I read, so there.

Currently working on Haruhi 2 and the second Sudoku Mystery, which I started sometime last year, but left hanging somewhere around part 2.  Am vaguely contemplating making a Discworld run, but I think I should finish off some of the shorter series and standalones before I attempt the 30+ book behemoth.

In other news, I’ve spent most of my long weekend playing Cooking Mama.  Come tomorrow, I’ll be spending the week playing Ace Attorney Investigations.

Did some math.  In order to read 100 books in a year, I should be finishing 8.3 books each month, or about two a week.  I’m currently a little ahead, but I’ll try not to get cocky.

Out.
